Rangiora Medical – Victoria Street & Good Street

We operate from two great locations in central Rangiora, 3 minutes drive from each other.  We are 100% owned by South Link Health Services, under the umbrella of the South Link Education Trust.

In 2024 we merged to become one practice across the two locations.  Our combined team is comprised of a Business Manager working across both practices, a Practice Manager, five GP’s, a Nurse Prescriber, eight Nurses, Health Improvement Practitioners, a Health Coach, and a strong team of receptionists/admins.

There are plans for a purpose -built facility in the future which will benefit the entire district.

We are part of Waitaha Primary Health, who are our PHO and we care for approximately 7000 patients.

We are proactive in ensuring equity and we have mandatory training for Cultural competency, Te Tiriti o Waitangi, Privacy and Child Safety.

We conduct full inductions onsite for all new staff members.  We provide ongoing training to keep up to date with regulations and have weekly team meetings at each Practice.

We are open Monday to Friday and operate morning and afternoon sessions. Each session has twelve 15-minute patient appointments.

We use the latest version of cloud-based Medtech Evolution as our Patient Management System, and we have Manage My Health, so patients can look at their results, book appointments and order repeat prescriptions.   We have a Care Kiosk onsite at Victoria Street, to take our patients clinical measurements, prior to their appointments.

We have a Dunedin-based South Link Health IT team who are supportive and knowledgeable and assist whenever we encounter issues. Our Dunedin team also provide Finance, Payroll, HR, Recruitment, Buildings,  Marketing & Communications services to us.

We have strong relations with primary and secondary services.  We are Foundation-accredited and working towards our Cornerstone Accreditation.

About Rangiora
Rangiora is a short 20-minute drive north of Christchurch, the largest city in New Zealand’s South Island.  We are home to nearly 20 000 people.  Of these 93% are Pākehā, 7.6% Māori, 3.4% Asian and 1.3% Pasifika.

There are plenty of things to do in Rangiora and surrounds.  We are a gateway for many local wineries, we have great eateries and boutique shops, plus parks and wetlands to stay active.

Christchurch International Airport is 27km away and offers a full itinerary of national and international flights.  In winter we are 2 hours away from Mt Hutt skifield, and in summer we have great beaches, rivers and lakes to swim, boat and fish.
